Our Dreams
Our Dreams and vision are the things that aim and direct us. Vision is best described as “preferred future”. It’s what we would like to see happen and we believe it is what God has called us to do.
“Vision is the art of seeing things invisible” Jonathon Swift.
God has a vision for every life he has created. Everyone was intentionally dreamed up in the heart of God, and then created for a purpose. Every person is the result of God’s vision, and it is no different for the Presence Church. God dreamed up this idea and so we are committed to seeing what God sees. We are dreaming of becoming a church where God can have his way and He can build the church He dreams of.
Vision is seeing what God sees for the future, for our lives and for the church.
We as best as possible want to have the same dreams as God.
We want to be a church that loves God and people well; where people become authentic followers of Jesus, and do all the stuff that Jesus did, in Cork, Ireland and in other countries. We believe that Jesus is in the business of changing lives.
We can’t stand the thought of being a church where the following things don’t happen. So we’re dreaming of a being a church that is a place where….
People can connect with God, and fall in love with Him; and experience having a real life-changing relationship with Him
We worship God and love Him with our whole lives
Where we focus on getting to know God better and are always looking to grow in our relationship with Him
People can find a home and a family
People can use the gifts that God has given and mature into using them effectively
People can experience the love of God, and the goodness of the good news of Jesus
All people, from every walk of life and nation are welcomed with the love of Jesus
The poor are cared for well
The sick and broken are prayed for and healing is a part of everyone’s lives
People fall in love with the Bible. Where the Bible it is taught clearly and well and we become whole Godly people
People are students and disciples of Jesus, and they can step out of the junk they are in and step into the life that God offers us all
People become all that God wants them to and be authentic followers of Jesus, through intimacy and obedience
We invest in equipping and training people to serve God with the gifts He gives, which is part of discipleship
We are always outward focused, inviting others to connect with and experience God in a real way
We are a healthy growing church, and plant other churches in Ireland and other nations
That new ministries are pioneered and birthed
That people can run in their God ordained destinies successfully
That sees God change lives, and bring His healing, wholeness and freedom to people
Where lives that have been ransacked by substance abuse, alcoholism and other addictions are set free
Where lives that are crippled with pain, abuse and brokenness experience wholeness and freedom
Where sexual brokenness is healed
To see people set free from sex industry and trafficking.
That vulnerable children are fostered and adopted
That crime in Cork goes down
That local businesses thrive and the local economy blossoms
That the unemployment rate drops
To see the Homeless become more cared for
That people could fulfil the God given dreams here in Ireland
That creativity and the arts flows more freely through and out of Cork
That the divorce rate drops
Where dysfunctional relationships, families and marriages become functional and restored
We do all the things that Jesus did
That we could have a school of supernatural ministry
That we could have a professional counselling service that is available to the community
That we could do our part beside existing charities, and services and serve them well
That we could play a role in making Cork a safer and an even more beautiful place to be
That we would be culture who honours people well and treats everyone like they were Jesus
That we would be known for loving people well
That we would be known as community of changed lives and stories
That we would known for his Presence
To bring life to Cork and Ireland
To see Heaven in Cork
